In 2002 I was a very negative and bitter 18 year old teenager. One particular night of this same year, I was involved in a fight outside Woolwich Arsenal Station. Knowing who I was from when I was a child, Pastor Tayo took the time to take me to one side and ask me why I was like this and why I was so bitter and angry at the world.
After briefly explaining my pains from childhood to him, he invited me to come to New Wine Church and re-learn the word of God. On that first visit he took the time after service to talk to me and show me the error of my ways.
It was through his love and selflessness towards me that made me rededicate my life to God.
Though I left the church in 2007, I always remember the influence Daddy had on my life. In this day and age, it’s hard to find a good role model – he was that man. A Father to so many youths of my generation and a great man of God. He truly was a wonderful man who will truly be missed.
Thank you for everything daddy and Rest in Perfect Peace!
Lots of love
